SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Where do you ship to? 
We ship to all main centres. A main centre is any town or city in South Africa that is serviced via a daily flight schedule. In order for this to be possible the area must be within the delivery range of a recognised airport hub (namely: Johannesburg, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, George, Cape Town and Bloemfontein)

We are also able to ship regionally but due to the nature of our products, we don’t recommend online purchasing for distribution outside a main centre, as we cannot guarantee that our product will remain frozen, and therefore can’t guarantee the quality of our frozen superfood sachets. We are, however, able to distribute our Coconut Bowls to main centres and regionally.

How are the frozen products shipped? 
Frozen Amazonia Packs are shipped in cold boxes. Please ensure you have a freezer available at your chosen shipping destination to place the packs in the freezer once delivered.

Can I arrange delivery on a specific day? 
To arrange delivery on a specific day please email hello@myrainbowl.com and advise the best day (Monday – Friday) for delivery, as well as your contact details for the day of delivery.
 
Unfortunately we can’t provide an exact time of the delivery on this day, so if you do need to step out, please leave a note at your door or reception giving permission to leave the frozen goods there.
 
Please note that MyRainbowl or its 3rd party courier unfortunately can’t take responsibility for goods which are damaged, spoiled or stolen once left by our courier. If no note is left and no one is home, then we have instructed the courier to return the goods to our warehouse, and an additional delivery charge of R120  will be levied or withheld from refunds due to courier charges.
 
Please ensure you keep your mobile phone switched on (and not on silent) on your nominated delivery day as the courier company may need to contact you. 

 

RETURNS

I have received my Coconut Bowls and they are cracked or damaged, what should I do?
Although we do our best to protect our Coconut Bowls during their journey to you, occasionally they can get damaged during couriering. If you have received damaged products please email us at hello@myrainbowl.com within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement for you.
 
An item that I purchased was damaged during use or cleaning, what can I do?
Because our products are 100% natural there is always the risk that they could be damaged during use or when cleaning. While we do our best to ensure the highest quality possible, the durability of natural products is somewhat unpredictable at times. We appreciate that you recognise that our products are from nature and thank you for your understanding.
 
Can I return my purchased items if I change my mind?
We unfortunately don’t offer returns or refunds (unless your product is damaged when you receive it, in which case you will need to notify us via email at hello@myrainbowl.com within 7 days of receiving your product).
 
What is MyRainbowl's return policy?
MyRainbowl is happy to replace any product that is faulty or doesn’t meet our specifications provided that:
 
MyRainbowl is notified via email (hello@myrainbowl.com) of the faulty product within 7 days of receiving the product, with a photograph of the defective product.
You have valid proof of purchase
You are able to return the product, in original box and frozen, back to our head office.
A replacement hasn’t already been issued
Although our aim is to create great-tasting, functional products, dissatisfaction of taste isn’t considered faulty

ORDERING

Can I update my delivery address after placing my order?
We unfortunately can’t change your delivery address after your order has been placed, so please ensure it is correct before finalising your order. This is because your order information is immediately sent to our warehouse where they will prepare your order for dispatch.
 
Can I update, edit or cancel my order?
We unfortunately can’t update, edit or cancel any order once you’ve completed checkout.
 
The item I would like to buy is out of stock, how should I go about placing an order? 
Please send an email directly to hello@myrainbowl.com with your desired order and we will advise when the out of stock items will be available to purchase.

What are your Coconut Bowls made of?
Our Coconut Bowls are hand made from 100% natural coconuts. 
 
How and where are your Coconut Bowls made?
Our Coconut Bowls are made in Vietnam. Each coconut is cut, cleaned and finished off by craftsman from the local community.
 
Why is eating from a MyRainbowl Coconut Bowl better than eating out of a regular bowl?
MyRainbowl Coconut Bowls are 100% natural, so by choosing to eat out of a Coconut Bowl you are helping the environment by contributing zero waste and using a recycled product of nature.
Plus you get to magically transport yourself to a tropical island for the time it takes to finish your MyRainbowl smoothie-bowl…and who wouldn’t want to start their day like this ;)

My bowls have arrived and they do not all look the same, is this normal?
No two coconuts are the same in nature, which is why all our bowls are shaped slightly differently. Each bowl is unique and has so much personality with its own shape, size, markings and imperfections. Embrace their imperfections – after all, it’s what makes Coconut Bowls so special.

What is the volume of a standard Coconut Bowl?
All bowls will vary slightly in volume, however, the average Coconut Bowl holds 500 - 600 ml. Perfect for a smoothie-bowl made from one of our superfood sachets!

What is the best way to clean my Coconut Bowl?
Hand-wash your bowl with warm soapy water. Always handle it with care to keep it in tip-top condition. It’s best stored in a cool, dry place. Not dishwasher safe.
 
Can my Coconut Bowl go in the microwave, oven, fridge or dishwasher?
Nope. Coconut Bowls can’t be used in microwaves, ovens, fridges or dishwashers. The bowls are delicate and can be affected by extreme temperatures. Best to store it in a cool dry place.

What are Açaí berries?
Wild Açaí trees are buried deep in the Amazon, and Amazonia’s Açaí is sourced from one of the most naturally abundant foods in the world.  We don’t really farm it - It just grows wild, and we work with the Amazon tribes to hand gather the berries in their abundance.
What are the benefits of Açaí berries?
Our berry pulp is nutrient dense and super-high in antioxidants (7-10 x more that e.g. blueberries) which helps with anti-ageing, and fights off free radicals that cause ageing and disease. They’re also rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 which hydrates the skin, provides your cells with moisture, helps with joint lubrication and is an excellent source of brain food. What are the benefits of Pitaya?
Our pitaya pulp is made directly from 100% sustainably harvested, organic pink pitaya - a powerhouse of nutrients. Known as red dragon fruit, Pitaya grows on a cactus and is known to be high in anti-oxidants, Vitamin A, C , calcium & iron.
 
What are the benefits of Coconut?
The delicious and creamy Coconut product is made from the flesh of 100% sustainably harvested and certified organic young coconuts. These are nature's electrolytes.
 
Where do Açaí berries/Pitaya/Coconut come from?
The Açaí berry is sourced from a natural fruit forest in the Amazon, while the rich and vibrant Pitaya crops and the young & creamy coconuts come from semi-barron land in Vietnam. The organic Pitaya is cultivated on otherwise infertile land in the heart of Vietnam.
 
Should it be kept frozen?
Yes – to enjoy your smoothie bowl the best way, keep the product frozen until you add it to your blender.
 
How long can the packs stay in the freezer for?
They can be kept for up to 24 months.
 
Why does it come frozen?
At MyRainbowl, we pride ourselves on getting our product from source to bowl in the most authentic way possible. While some suppliers dehydrate their product to a powder form, or puree rather than pulp, we want you to get the maximum nutrient benefits from our products, the way nature intended. For this reason, we supply our product in pulp format, and freeze it as early in the transportation process as possible. And it remains frozen – capturing all that goodness and keeping it right up until that moment you enjoy your smoothie-bowl.
 
How should I work with the products?
Simply remove the pack(s) from the freezer and allow to stand at room temperature for 1 minute
Gently start to break the frozen superfood up into chunks, while still in their packs and then slice straight down the centre, horizontally, to create two equal halves.
Empty the frozen chunks of superfood into your blender and add other ingredients – see our delicious recipes for guidance. Blend and serve up while cold in a beautiful MyRainbowl coconut bowl. Don’t forget to decorate with delicious & fresh toppings!
